Between our two fire halls, our department has four vehicles and over the past three years, we have upgraded two of our fire trucks. These two new trucks are modern and equipped with specific custom requirements for a rural fire department such as ours. Because of the significant lack of accessible water within our jurisdiction, these two trucks are capable of deploying foam to fight fires.
Our Command vehicles are rugged 4 wheel drives for the islands notorious private road accesses. It is our primary 'first responder' vehicles that are equipped with a wide range of medical equipment, including oxygen, defibrillator and spine boards.
